“A Sunburst of
white and gold”

Welcome to
st cyprian’s

St Cyprian’s Clarance Gate is a beautiful Grade II* Anglican church just moments from Regent’s Park and Baker Street. Built in the Victorian Gothic style, it is a place of music and prayer, where faith is expressed through reverence and a deep love of the sacred.

We are a High Anglican, Anglo-Catholic parish, shaped by the rhythm of the Mass and the richness of choral worship. We are a small but flourishing congregation that welcomes everyone, embraces doubt, prays hopefully and celebrates diversity. We are strongly committed to social justice and believe in the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to transform lives.

Whether you join us for a concert, to explore the architecture, or to take part in worship, you are warmly invited to step inside and discover this extraordinary space.

A Rich Musical

Tradition

Music has always been at the heart of life at St Cyprian’s. Renowned for its acoustics and musical tradition, the church is home to a distinguished choir and hosts a vibrant programme of concerts throughout the year.

From choral Masses and Evensong to chamber concerts and visiting ensembles, St Cyprian’s has become a valued cultural presence in London, offering free classical music in a setting of exceptional beauty and architectural significance.

A Masterpiece of

Victorian Gothic Design

St Cyprian’s is celebrated as one of London’s finest Victorian Gothic churches. Designed by Sir Ninian Comper, the building is renowned for its painted ceilings, gilded rood screen, stained glass, and carefully ordered sense of sacred space.

Every detail has been considered, not for spectacle alone, but to draw the eye and heart towards prayer and the sacrament. The church’s architecture, light, and materials create an atmosphere that continues to move and inspire visitors today.

St Cyprian’s is Grade II* listed and admired by historians, architects, and those with an interest in ecclesiastical art and design.

Help Sustain our Music,
Worship, and Heritage

St Cyprian’s is sustained by the generosity of those who support our worship, music, heritage, and welcome to the local community. Your support enables us to care for this remarkable building, offer concerts, and continue our life of prayer and service in the heart of London.

There are many ways to contribute, whether through regular giving, one-off donations, or supporting specific aspects of our work, from music to restoration work and upkeep to supporting our wider mission.

Concerts and

Donate to the

Organ Appeal

We will soon be launching a campaign to restore the nationally significant Spurden organ at St Cyprian’s.

Time and regular use have taken their toll. The instrument now requires careful restoration so the organ can continue to support worship and music in this building for generations to come.

Find out more about the organ restoration campaign and how you can donate to help safeguard this important part of our shared musical and cultural heritage.

Safeguarding

St Cyprian’s is committed to the safeguarding of children, young people, and adults at risk. We take our responsibilities seriously and follow the safeguarding policies and guidance of the Church of England.
