PLEASE SUPPORT ST CYPRIAN'S
The challenges of maintaining this building are immense. In addition to general upkeep, the following projects are planned for the church:
◊ Urgent repairs to the roof of the south aisle costing £6,000
◊ Refurbishment of the crypt rooms and work to eradicate damp problems, at an estimated £120,000.
◊ Re-painting of the main body of the church.
◊ The building of the organ case to Comper’s design, which has never been realised at an estimated cost £150,000.
These would be major projects for any church and St Cyprian’s is no exception in its over-stretched resources. Nonetheless we have recently carried out a number of major projects successfully.
These have included:
◊ The replacement of the church’s central heating system at a cost of £35,000.
◊ The restoration of the altar frontal and dossal at a cost of £25,000.
◊Repairs to the roof of the north aisle, costing £10,000.
The St Cyprian’s Fabric Fund has been established to build on the success of these projects and help safeguard the future of this building. We welcome any donations to the Fund, and if you are able to sign a gift aid declaration with your donation, this increases the value of your gift significantly.
Cheques should be made payable to the St Cyprian’s Fabric Fund.
